For many years there was in Sevenoaks an annual sponsored cricket match for Christian Aid.  Eventually this turned into a match between St John's and the Rest of Sevenoaks Council of Churches.

Members of the St John's team wanted to play more often and so a number of games against other churches in the Diocese were arranged.  This in turn led to us taking part in the annual Sevenoaks Six-a-Side Tournament and entering the Sevenoaks Indoor Cricket League.

The team consists of members of the congregation and their friends.  Indoor League games are played at the Wildrenesse Sports Centre on a Sunday afternoon in the winter months and last for just less than an hour.  Summer games are usually played at Raley's Field, which is next to Lady Boswell's School.  The team organiser is Mark Cheeseman, who can be contacted through the parish office. 

This is fun cricket!  No skill or experience is needed.
