The Church of St John The Baptist, Seven Oaks

Pantomime - 5th January 2008

The 'parish panto' has now become a well-established tradition at St. John's.  It is written by members of the congregation and then performed by a cast whose ages range from as young as three years old to, well ... much older!  The only rehearsal is held on the day of the panto itself and the performance then provides the entertainment for the evening party.

This year we strayed from basing it on a traditional fairy story and used the history of the parish as our theme, guided through the years by Doctor Who.

The witches (or two sopranos and an alto?)
Brother Abstemious consults the 'Help Desk'
Dr Who and his assistant Polly at the Medieval monastery
Workmen digging the foundations for the church in 1858 make a discovery
During World War II the Vicar seeks the help of ...
... Dad's Army!
The panel of judges for 'The Y Factor'
The witches have found their spell ...
... but does it impress the panel?
Fr Mark ensures that all's well that ends well!
